What some of this year’s runners said about their experience:

“This race is gorgeous but brutal!  Heavy quads, rock solid calves, burning lungs, light headedness…I LOVED IT!!”

“Thank you all for another great event, very glad to have dry weather this year! The encouragement from the marshals was very welcome too. My legs should be recovered in time for June 2016…”

“Thank you team Run the Rock. Fantastic organisation, the run a brilliant challenge, and all made possible with some great encouragement from the marshals. Thanks for a great morning.”

“Loved it, nice feel and although the hills are horrid it’s still a run I want to do again.”

“Just wanted to say you did an amazing job organising today. Everything was thought of from the jelly babies at the start (especially those!) to the motivational signs on the route. Maybe next year you guys could arrange for the hills to disappear for the day!  So hard never walked so much and this year I can’t blame the weather. However the views were worth it.”

“Great run today – thanks to all the fantastic marshals and organisers.  Sign me up for next year.”

“Run the Rock at Stokenchurch – great race but the hardest 10k I have ever done!”

“I knew it was going to be good when I was offered a Jelly baby on arrival!  Really fun course but hard enough to give me a real challenge.”

“Fabulous run this morning, I only heard positive comments from everyone walking back to the car park.  In particular, everyone was full of praise for the cheery and vocal Marshals; they certainly helped me get round the course!  Actually, everyone was terrific and extremely helpful; from the moment I turned into the car park, jelly babies on the door, number obtained with ease, medals and goody bags and the girls that did the coffee, everyone had a smile on their face. Many thanks to all of them, and to those I’ve missed out!  Well done and thank you.”

“A very well organised and exhilarating run over the steep rolling terrain of the Chilterns. Fantastic support from the marshals and inspirational signs dotted along the route! Well done to the organisers and volunteers of the Run the Rock 2015, will definitely be back next year!”

“My first competitive run loved it very hilly but a great challenge will be defo running it next year to beat my 58 mins thanks to the marshals with there encouragement through out the course !!!!!!”

“This was my first 10k race and it was a beautiful place to run but the hills were a killer ! The marshalls excellent and were so encouraging, I also loved the little signs dotted about with quotes of encouragement. Overall a very well organised and friendly race.”
